Samfest Rock 2008

Well I've just managed to get home from Satu-Mare (Romania) where Samfest Rock 2008 was held. A new edition with a new location.
A 2 day festival with the 2 big headliners (Lake of Tears and Crematory singing in the second day)

As I said above, Samfest 2008 had a new location, the old summer theater was replaced with the city's swimming resort. A very nice place,lots of free space, grass trees, food stands, beer stands of course :D, a camping place and lots of people. I did not expect so many people to come.

First band on the stage a local one, don't remember the name,nothing special.
Grimegod came on the stage, they made a nice show but kind of short :|, or it was just my imagination.

The next band before the headliners was Indian Fall. Good show, very active on the stage, the people responded to their songs. I just have a feeling that the last gig in Cluj-Napoca was better.

Lake of Tears, the first headliner came on the stage, many people gathered around the stage and the show started. A very clear sound, big emotions from some fans :)) good playing by the guys. Real professionals. They finished the gig after 1 hour i guess,came back for a bis.



Crematory made their way on the stage, the crowd was a little less active during the first song but after that all started to enjoy the show. I can't understand why some people start a pogo on gothic ( I don't say anything about black) , anyhow i managed to fall down with the fance after someone pushed me :))) . Not such a big deal, that's what happens if you'r not paying attention to the people around you :P
I good show made by them, I guess they also enjoyed the evening.


All in all, a good edition this year with a really nice location. I hope the next one will be much better maybe with more big bands :)
