Well, there was one month without any good gigs in this town and I really wanted to get my ass of this chair and get some real fucking live music.
The last gig in Irish Music & Pub (here in Cluj Napoca) was from "Sear Bliss" a black metal band from Hungary. In that day I've purchased a ticket for the next gig, the one of VADER, SEPTICFLESH, INCATIVE MESSIAH, DEVIAN (now this happened one month+ ago).
The day finally came.I had a feeling that this one will kick some balls and I really wanted to see SEPTICFLESH live in action, their last album "Communion" is simply perfect, one of the best this year.
It was somewhere around 18:20 o'clock when I arrived at the "club" the first band already finished their act.Well maybe another time I will manage to see Necrovile(Ro) in action.
The first thing I've seen, many people joined the show, from what I've heard there were somewhere around 350-maybe 400 people ... the heat was suffocating, at a moment there were 41 degrees Celsius on the stage.
Second band to play were Inactive Messiah from Greece. Well they sound really nice, a very well played melodic death metal.Good show, they started the crowed for the next bands.
Devian on the stage, the crowd went wild, screaming from the back of their lungs "LEGION" (the name of the lead singer,ex Marduk). True guy, with a tattoo of Vlad Tepes on his arm, some stage dive. pictures with the crowed during the show, crowd surfing ... incredible show made by this guy. The crowed wild when Legion yelled "Dracul va domni din nou in Transilvania".
The atmosphere was already suffocating after this 2 acts but there was still much more to come. SEPTICFLESH, the headliners for me continued this fantastic show with great playing, a superb playlist (with many songs from "Communion"), the crowed repayed them with a wall of death, many moments of "moshing" and open scene applauses. I think this was the best show I've seen so far and I really enjoyed it.
Vader the last band to come on the scene, the 3rd time in Romania as I've heard were on good form performing a rock solid show. I went in the back of the "room" after a little accident during the mosh.
Good sound, good organization .. lots of happy people during and after the gigs.
Keep the horns up and keep supporting extreme (live) music!! Great work , HATEWORK
