Moonspell, Cluj Napoca, 23.april 2009

Some words about the last gig here in Cluj, it's something like "been there, done that".

I've made another bad move by believing what the guys from ProMusic said, so i ended up waiting 1h:30min in front of the sports hall. The show should have started around 19:00, we just managed to entered the hall around 19:20 and the first band started to play around 20:00. So, almost one hour delay, of course a hour that would cut back the playing time of the bands.

Oh well, never heard of them before, they started real quick the gig and ended it as fast as they begin. Not sure about that "thrash" style, for me it sounded way to hardcorish, it was like you were watching an American band trying to crash that place down.
All in all, not my style.

Turisas.
I never could have guessed that there were so many people who came to see them. This people went crazy when they appeared on the stage, it was like some pop idol just made it there. :))
The background image was real cool, it reminded me of pictures from Medieval Total War, but the music was way to "happy".
I must admit I'm not a big fan of them, it was like watching and hearing Lordi, kind of the same vocal stamp and clothes. It was more of a "beerhouse" attitude than a "battle metal". Not to proud also about that Rasputin cover, but in the end they put a good show for the people who came to see them. They were really impressed by the fans attitude, promised to return soon.

Moonspell.
The one and only band I wanted to see this night and I think that most of the people there came for Moonspell.
I must give a real big _|_ to Promusic by fucking up the starting hour. Because of this there was no bis from them, and oh hell there should have been one.
Real pro's this guys from Moonspell, real power into their songs, great lights and atmosphere ... they really know how to make a show and the crowd really appreciated it.
Some sound problems at Scorpion flower but it was fixed real fast, and surprising or not, the sound was much better after that flop :))
You should check the videos on youtube from Vampiria and Alma Mater, those vids will tell everything that was not said here.
Great show from them! A must see.

Cradle of Filth.
Well, the only thing I was thinking when they played was that my feet hurt like hell and how to stop the dude that was next to me to stop yelling like Dani. (so fucking annoying).
The sound was shitty, and Dani looked like a undernourished orc :)), or it was a goblin? I could tell only the last song, the rest were real hard to hear (but still some people say that the show was more ok than the one at Stuffstock).

Sound: not the best.
A minus for the promoter/organisation for the big dellay
The bands did their job.
I'm not sorry for going at this gig, even if there was only one band that i really enjoyed. Moonspell earns its money :D
